Catching up! Part 1

It has been so long since I've done a post that it always makes me apprehensive about posting another one. I guess I'm not really that great at blogging. I always want to go back to where I left off, and that always leaves me with a huge chore.
Let's see...pregnancy...
The first trimester pretty much sucked and left me wondering how my mother-in-law did it 8 times. By the end of the first trimester, I felt like this:

I was pretty lucky as far as morning sickness goes. I was mostly just tired all of the time. I only threw up a total of 5 times and 4 of those times were on Thursdays...weird. I joked I had Thursday sickness, not morning sickness. :P

Since it is 3am, and I am only up because I couldn't sleep. I'm going to try to go back to bed. I don't want this post to be too long anyway. I will post more tomorrow.

I had my first doctor's visit on Monday. The baby looks great! Here are the ultrasound pictures:




I think it looks like a smashed frog. haha Maybe I will end up doing the nursery in frogs. Who knows! Seeing him/her definitely made it more real for me. I wish Daniel could've been there, but my parents came with me. :) It's so nice that they are home and can take his place like that.
I have had this insatiable appetite until today. Today I've actually gotten full. The nausea comes and goes and so far hasn't really been too too bad. Everyone seems to think it's going to be a girl, but they have no real reason to think this, and I wish they would stop with it. Not that I don't want a girl. I don't really care if it's a boy or a girl. I'll be happy with either.
Everybody also thinks they need to give me any piece of advice they know. Even if it's advice from 50 years ago when things were waaaay different. Enough already!!
I have two hospitals to choose from that my doctor delivers at. One is the Presbyterian Hospital of Plano and the other is Baylor Hospital in Frisco. I didn't really get to visit with my doctor because he had to run out and deliver a baby. I will see him again soon, so that's ok.

The start

I wanted to create a blog to chronicle my pregnancy and other things going on. I am hoping my amazing husband will be able to read it and feel like he is here with us and experiencing everything along with us.
Today I am 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I have had a total of 4 days of nausea...no vomiting thank goodness. I am hungry and thirsty more often and consequently have to urinate more. I'm tired a lot. My boobs are sooo sore, but I don't think they've grown any yet. I had my first pregnancy craving yesterday...bbq enchiladas....disgusting. And I don't mean grilled I mean complete with bbq sauce. No, I didn't give in and try it. These are all of the pregnancy symptoms I've had so far.
I don't have a doctors appointment until Monday. I am really mad that they are making me wait so long to go. I could understand it if it wasn't my first pregnancy...maybe. I have heard way too many things that contradict each other, and I would just really like to ask my doctor all of the questions to know what his stand on it all is.
I am very excited that my parents have decided to come home from Iraq. My mom will be able to come to my appointments with me, so I will not have to go alone. :)
